By definition, current events come and go, but some may feel the presence of God continuously interweaving throughout the seemingly secular occurrences in our lives. If you are conservative, you may know this. If you are progressive you may either learn or wish to disagree. Even so, The Daily Stand is a site that takes you across the full spectrum.
We take positions on things like the death of Terri Schiavo, judicial ethics (i.e. tyranny, in some cases), gay and lesbian sex, illegal immigration, Arnold Schwarzenegger, and Jack Kevorkian. The articles published here connect Yoko Ono with Michael Jackson, a walk in Santa Monica with a journey through South Central Los Angeles and a court hearing with Hitler’s Nazi regime. New thoughts and ideas are the goal, and short of that, if we only provide a new way of looking at old ideas we will be happy.
We hope to avoid limiting the discussions to those of church and state, abortion or The Constitution of the United State. So if you have thoughts on any topic that affects our society, from evolution to condoms, politics to faith and abstinence to intelligent design, feel free to join in or submit an editorial commentary of your own. We would love to hear from you, and, if appropriate, respond to you.
